Jane Lino

Jane Lino leads Proforest portfolios for responsible sourcing and production landscapes across Mercosur countries, providing strategic thinking and technical expertise into Proforest projects and initiatives. She brings extensive expertise in soy and in cattle, palm oil, sugarcane and other agricultural supply chains, with a strong track record in facilitating collaboration among companies, governments and civil society to advance responsible production and sourcing. 

Before joining Proforest in 2016, Jane worked across private and public sectors and served as a researcher at University of São Paulo. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Ecology, a master’s in Soil Science from the University of São Paulo, and an additional specialisation in productive supply-chain development from the International Training Centre of the ILO. She speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish. She also served as both speaker and moderator in high-level industry forums, championing regenerative, nature-positive approaches and practical mechanisms that translate commitments into action on the ground. 

Grounded in technical expertise and a collaborative approach, Jane advises organisations on supply-chain strategies and tools, multistakeholder collaboration and incentive models that works to accelerate positive outcomes for people, nature and climate, building more sustainable, transparent and resilient agricultural landscapes.
