Marcelo Posonski

Marcelo leads Technical Operations at the Proforest Brazil office, overseeing the development, maintenance, and enhancement of systems, processes, and tools, as well as the training of team members in project and program management best practices. As a member of the Institutional Management Team, Marcelo contributes to strategic and operational planning, recruitment, people management, organizational development, and corporate decision-making.

Prior to assuming the leadership of Technical Operations, Marcelo worked on a variety of projects and programs focused on responsible production and sourcing of agricultural commodities, as well as supporting multi-stakeholder groups. As one of the first members of the Proforest Brazil office, Marcelo played a key role in the organization’s technical, operational, and institutional development, including the creation of methodological approaches, the establishment of new areas of work, and the implementation of management systems.

Before joining Proforest, Marcelo worked on initiatives focused on Business and Biodiversity, Standard Setting, Environmental and Social Management, and Forest Certification.
