Rariany Monteiro

Master Project Manager – Responsible Finance

Rariany contributes to advancing Proforest’s responsible finance agenda in Brazil, while also supporting initiatives across Latin America and the organisation’s global work. Her work focuses on bringing together financial institutions, investors, companies and actors across agricultural and forest supply chains, helping to integrate nature, land use and sustainability considerations into financing and investment decisions. She works on the development of strategies and solutions to support environmental and social risk management, the transition towards more sustainable supply chains, and the mobilisation of capital for resilient production systems and landscapes.

An economist with more than ten years of experience in sustainable finance, public policy and development, prior to joining Proforest, Rariany worked as a Green Finance Specialist at WWF-Brazil. Her experience includes contributions to initiatives such as the Brazilian Sustainable Taxonomy, Eco Invest Brasil, including work on its second auction focused on the restoration of degraded pastures, and the Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF), as well as work related to the G20 and BRICS+ agendas and experience with international financial institutions and multilateral development banks.

Rariany holds an MBA in Public-Private Partnerships and Concessions from FIPE/USP and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Law and Economics of Climate Change at FLACSO Argentina. She has also completed executive education in International Economics and Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and holds professional certifications in project management and financial and economic modelling, including PMP and CP3P.
