Proforest joins the ISEAL Technical Committee

Proforest’s Associate Director Bilge Daldeniz has joined the ISEAL Technical Committee, one of only 7 members from sustainability standards, the private sector and non-profits who provide strategic advice to the ISEAL Board.

The Committee’s remit includes:

• Oversee the development, maintenance, review and revision of ISEAL’s Credibility Principles and Code of Good Practice in accordance with the ISEAL Code Development and Revision Procedure.
• Provide input on the shared strategic outlook to ISEAL and to the ISEAL Board at least annually, identifying specific credibility topics that would benefit from ISEAL’s involvement and influence.
• Provide strategic input to ISEAL’s approach to Code compliance and consider ISEAL’s approach to Code compliance when overseeing ISEAL’s Credibility Principles and Code.
• Support ISEAL to identify where the development of additional credibility tools would benefit ISEAL’s stakeholders and/or enhance ISEAL’s influence, and on a case-by-case basis, provide ISEAL with technical guidance and/or oversight on their development, review and revision.

The Committee’s 2026 priorities include revision of Code Development Procedure, review of Credibility Principles and learnings from applying the ISEAL Code.
