The Proforest group
Proforest is a not-for-profit group that includes both companies and non-profit organisations. It was founded in 2000 and now employs more than 100 staff based in 17 countries.

Proforest bridges the gap between supply chain companies, production sectors and wider landscapes and governments. To deliver on this in practice, the Proforest group is made up of a network of consultancy companies and legal non-profits (charities) which function collectively as a non-profit group. Any profits from the companies are reinvested into our work.
How Proforest works
We combine consultancy services for supply chain companies with grant-funded programmes that involve a wider group of stakeholders over longer timeframes. This means we can use our understanding of company production and supply chain activities to inform our work with governments, landscapes and sectoral initiatives. Conversely, it also means we can support companies to collaborate with each other and engage collectively with these wider initiatives. Through this unique model, we support action for greater sustainability both within supply chains and beyond supply chains.

Proforest operates through eight offices including three legal non-profits and five companies.
