
Abraham Baffoe
Executive Director, Global and Africa
Abraham holds an MSc in Forestry and Environmental Policy from Louisiana State University, USA, and has over two decades of experience working on natural resource management, specialising in the development and implementation of sustainability standards. His experience includes providing technical support to sustainability certification standard setting and implementation of those standards in practice. Abraham leads on the development and implementation of Proforest’s projects and programmes in Africa including supporting both the public and private sector companies with the development and practical implementation of sustainability policies in both the forestry and agriculture commodity production sectors. He sits on the Steering Committee of the Tropical Forest Alliance. He has recently been appointed to the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Forest Economy (2025–2026). As part of this global network of experts, Abraham will contribute to shaping sustainable solutions for forests and natural resource management within the broader agenda for a resilient and inclusive future.
