Ángela Ricaurte

Senior Specialist – Human Rights and Livelihoods

Ángela is a sociologist with a Master’s degree in Integrated Environmental Management. She has more than ten years of experience as a socio-environmental specialist in the management of sustainable development projects, with a focus on landscape approaches and multi-stakeholder collaboration, climate change adaptation, and monitoring and evaluation systems. Her experience spans productive sectors such as cocoa, coffee, oil palm and sugarcane across various countries in Latin America.

Through her work in the organisation, she designs actions to address human rights and environmental risks and facilitates participatory strategic planning processes. She also contributes to the design and implementation of sustainability strategies, supporting key stakeholders across supply chains —including the private sector, governments, sectoral initiatives, smallholders and NGOs— to strengthen responsible practices and generate positive impacts for communities and ecosystems.
