Annie Karoline Cavalcante

Annie Cavalcante is a Project Manager at Proforest, supporting responsible production and sourcing in agricultural supply chains in Latin America. In her role, she provides technical support for supplier engagement, helping producers and supply chain partners strengthen their environmental and social practices. She also supports companies in implementing DCF commitments by assessing risks, aligning with regulatory requirements, and strengthening systems that ensure more responsible sourcing. Additionally, Annie contributes to landscape and jurisdictional initiatives aimed at scaling positive impacts, integrating conservation outcomes with regenerative agriculture and inclusive territorial approaches.

Before joining Proforest, Annie built a diverse career across academia, research, and consulting, including roles as a Research Fellow at LEPABE in Portugal, and consultant on environmental and forest management projects in Brazil. She brings strong analytical capability through the use of tools such as Python, R and GIS, applying data-driven methods to develop accurate, evidence-based sustainability strategies.

Annie is particularly committed to translating scientific and technical knowledge into pragmatic, locally grounded solutions that help companies and stakeholders advance people, nature and climate positive outcomes. Her work reflects Proforest’s collaborative and mission-driven approach, combining technical credibility with on-the-ground understanding across key agricultural landscapes in Latin America.
