Director – Multi-stakeholder Initiatives
Bilge, a Proforest Associate Director, was previously with standard-setter Ecotourism Australia and a researcher on sustainable tourism at CENTICA, University of Kent. She has broad international experience, including humanitarian relief in the Middle East (CARITAS), open & distance learning in Senegal (UNESCO), university semesters in Togo and Mexico, and fieldwork in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa. Her technical work centres on supporting Voluntary Sustainability Standards and facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes, e.g. the recent RSPO P&C Review. Bilge speaks English, French, Spanish and German, and holds a BA in Politics and an MRes in Environment and Development from Lancaster University.
