Jhon Aunta

Jhon is a Cadastral and Geodetic Engineer, with a Master’s degree in Geospatial Technologies from NOVA University Lisbon and the Institute for Geoinformatics at the University of Münster. He has 13 years of experience in promoting the use of spatial data, including the implementation, development and management of geographic information systems (GIS), as well as remote sensing analysis. He has worked across both public and private sectors, with a focus on technological innovation in the use of geospatial information to analyse environmental and socio-economic phenomena.

Through his work in the organisation, he contributes to projects on deforestation and conversion analysis, traceability, climate change, and compliance with sustainability frameworks such as EUDR and RSPO. His work supports companies and organisations in monitoring and validating compliance with their sustainability commitments, particularly those operating in the early stages of supply chains.
