Jian Wan

Jian has been dedicated to sustainable production and supply chains, with a focus on soft commodities, since 2008.
She currently serves as the Deputy Director of Proforest China, where she collaborates with global teams and regional offices to boost sustainable demand from the Chinese market and jointly develop resilient supply chains.

Prior to joining Proforest, Jian was a researcher at the World Resources Institute (WRI), working on green supply chain pillar aimed at advancing deforestation-free trade of soft commodities.
Earlier in her career, she held the role of Stakeholder Engagement Representative at RSPO China, served as a Programme Manager at the Earthworm Foundation, and worked as an FSC Lead Auditor with the Rainforest Alliance.

Jian holds a Master’s degree in Silviculture from Beijing Forestry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Forest Resources Conservation and Recreation from Northeast Forestry University.
