
Lara Timme
Assistant Project Manager
Originally from Germany, Lara has most recently been working with the European External Action Service in Ecuador. She has a bi-national Master’s degree in Human Rights from the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice, Italy and NOVA University Lisbon, Portugal. She is particularly interested the topic of business and human rights and, as part of her thesis work, developed human and labour rights training/ awareness raising modules for textile supplier factories.
Her previous experience mostly includes human rights work in the sustainable clothing industry, working with Fair Wear Foundation, where she closely followed the drafting process of the EU due diligence legislation and carried out advocacy work to demand an ambitious legal framework.
While living in West Africa and Latin America, Lara got to learn about the issues around responsible sourcing of cocoa and other agricultural products and is now super curious to learn more. She speaks German, English, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese.
