Mariana Avalos Duarte

Mariana is an Industrial Engineer with a master’s degree in quality management systems administration. She has 12 years of experience in sustainability applied to agricultural supply chains, with specialisation in certifications and stakeholder engagement across sectors such as oil palm, cocoa, banana and sugar.

In her role within the organisation, she leads large-scale sustainability programmes, coordinating companies, producers and other key stakeholders to align objectives, define governance structures and drive the implementation of sustainable practices in the field. She has led the implementation of some of the most relevant oil palm sustainability programmes in Mexico, facilitating the adoption of international standards and strengthening capacities at both producer and industry levels.
