Tania Caro

Tania graduated from the Faculty of Biology at Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, in Mexico. Since 2011, she has been a volunteer at Slow Food International, an organisation focused on preventing the disappearance of local food cultures and traditions, counteracting the rise of fast lifestyles, and fostering the interest of people towards the food they eat. Tania has broad experience with aquaculture producers and their engagement in responsible consumption markets and sustainability initiatives and has participated in the development of institutional campaigns with an emphasis on the environmental and productive sectors. She believes that global sustainability can only be achieved through collaboration among all the actors involved in value chains: producers, companies, NGOs, governments, and consumers.
